So if you are on Facebook you will know that a post has been going around where you list 25 random things about yourself. I, like many others, made my list. I'm sure it was a rivoting read! As I've been reading other people's lists I have decided I had left many important randomness out of my list! Therefore, here is a new, updated list of random things about me! Hang on to your seats!!!

1. I am related to Princess Diana. You should bow when you see me. :o)
2. I had a black eye when I got married. My nephew hit me in the eye a week before our wedding. It wasn't too noticable on wedding day.
3. Brad and I got married in Gatlinburg, TN in a small, quaint chapel. It was very nice and relaxing. Did I mention cheap?! :o)
4. I have never had a sip of any alcoholic beverage. Ever.
5. Brad and I went to Mardi Gras in New Orleans in 2003. It was pretty much pointless (other than experiencing a unique city) since all that was going on was drinking and that doesn't bode well with my #4.
6. My brother was on Jeopardy and won! He placed 2nd on his second day.
7. My bedroom walls were covered in New Kids on the Block during elementary school and Troy Aikman (Dallas Cowboys) in high school.
8. My first car was "born" the same year I was. It was named the "Blue Beast".
9. My friend Mandy and I had a club in my attic. She was President and I was Vice President.
10. I got my first (real) pet, my dog Bear, when I was 19 and I still have her!
11. Although I can (kind of) swim I am not comfortable in deep water.
12. I have never jumped off a diving board.
13. I am going to be a mean mother and make my children take swim lessons.
14. I used to babysit in a funeral home (for the living, not the dead).
15. I WILL make it to Hawaii some time before I die!
16. I like to torment people about getting older. It is REALLY going to backfire in 1 1/2 years! I'm not looking forward to it one little bit.
17. Brad says he will make me cry on my 30th birthday.
18. Brad has made me cry over a game of Spades. He takes that game WAY to serious!
19. I don't think I've bought a CD in over 5 years. The radio is enough for me.
20. I cry everytime I watch Stepmom and The Little Mermaid.
21. I own the soundtrack to The Wizard of Oz.
22. I really enjoyed high school and wouldn't mind going back!
23. I have a soft spot for Cold Stone Creamery ice cream. Cake batter ice cream with peanut butter cups and caramel please!
24. My mom was a stripper until her mid-50's. Furniture stripper people!! Get your minds out of the gutter!!
25. My favorite tv show will always be Friends. My favorite cartoon will always be Animaniacs.

R.I.P.

Fall is my favorite time of year. The trees are so pretty and the weather is cool and crisp. This is the tree in my front yard. Isn't it gorgeous?!



Here is a full view. It is a Bradford Pear tree. I love looking at it all year long.



Yesterday I had the kiddos across the street at the school playground. I was just sitting there admiring our beautiful tree when this happened.......

I couldn't believe it!!! I just sat there for a minute with my mouth hanging open saying "NO WAY!!!" It was strange to catch it actually falling. Thankfully nothing (or no one) was in the path.

A neighbor down the street removed it today. He says Bradford Pears are known for self-distruction. We will need to remove the whole tree before the rest of it falls.

I am now in mourning for my beautiful tree.

Observation

I took Carter to the park this afternoon. At one point I realized there were four daddies there with their kiddos and I was the only mommy. I thought that was pretty cool. I like seeing daddies involved with their kids (Carter's daddy was doing his real estate thing so he was excused) :o)
